After weeks of sporadic practicing, lessons, and tutorials, I finally built up the courage to record a DJ mix. So behold! My first ever techno DJ mix. I hope you give it a listen and enjoy. I did this one while a little tipsy on the train ride home after doing early happy hour with two good friends from the good old college days. I’ll admit, it’s a pretty rough mix, but way better than my first attempt at a mix, made on the train ride into the city.
Also, although I went with the DJ controller featured image, I actually mixed this on an iPad using TRAKTOR DJ 2, so it looked more like…
Most of the tracks here I originally picked up on a whim. But some have turned into personal favorites. Of course, I have to admit I did end up sneaking in a couple of non-techno tracks into this techno mix. Why? Because fuck yeah, that’s why. I felt like experimenting a little. That being said, if any of you actually make it far enough into this mix to complain about the random non techno tracks that I slipped in, first I will be sure to offer a personal apology, then next a personal big set of thanks for making it that far into the mix.
